You were thinking of starting your Freediving career?

I adapted my courses to the situation we are all facing by making the best of our digital learning material.

• SSI Digital learning kit, accessible from SSI website and phone app

• Kit is valid for 12 months (instead of 6) to complete the course

For the theory, we can either meet online or personally, and take the time to make sure everything is well understood.

The confined water (pool and shoreline max. 5m) and/or sea requirements will be organised as soon as the theory training is completed.

This 1 day program provides you with the training and knowledge required to safely freedive with a buddy in pool/confined water environment to a depth of five meters. 

You will earn the SSI BASIC FREEDIVING certification after completing this program. 

Minimum Age: 10

Prerequisites: Must be able to swim 25m

Academic Sessions: Online training & Theory class 

Pool/Confined Water Sessions: 1 (swimming pool or beach shore) 

Open Water Dives: None

Maximum Training Depth: 5 meters 

Note: DAN student insurance (www.dan.org) is available for an extra cost of AED 100

This program provides you with the training and knowledge required to safely freedive with a buddy in a pool/confined water environment to depths of 5 meters.

In the pool, we will cover and train in Static Apnea (STA) & Dynamic Apnea (DYN).  

You will earn the SSI POOL FREEDIVING certification after completing this program.

*After completing the POOL FREEDIVING program, only open water sessions will be needed to complete FREEDIVER (LEVEL 1) program.

Minimum Age: 12

Prerequisites: Must be able to swim 100m

Academic Sessions: Online training & Theory class 

Pool/Confined Water Sessions: 1-2 (depending on your progress - swimming pool) 

Open Water Dives: None

Maximum Training Depth: 5 meters 

This program provides you with the training and knowledge required to safely freedive with a buddy in open water environments to depths of 20 meters and to hold your breath for 2 to 3 minutes.

Disciplines we will cover: 

In the pool: Static Apnea (STA) & Dynamic Apnea (DYN).

In open water / sea: Free Immersion (FIM) & Constant Weight (CWT). 

You will earn the SSI FREEDIVER (LEVEL 1) certification after completing this program.

You will also have access to different specialty courses: Free Immersion, Training Techniques, Basic Spearfishing and Spearfishing Safety & Training.

Minimum Age: 15

Certification Prerequisites: Must be able to swim 100m

Academic Sessions: Online training or Theory class 

Pool/Confined Water Sessions:  2 (or more depending on your progress swimming pool shoreline). 

Open Water Dives: 1 (or more, depending on your progress)

Maximum Training Depth: 20 meters  

Many freedivers share a passion for deeper freediving. The SSI Freediving Level 2 program will teach you everything you need to know to increase your average breath-hold time by advancing your breath-holding techniques.

Freediving Level 2 teaches you the concept of efficiency when freediving, making your body stronger and more effective in the water. 

Discover the exciting freefall (you have the feeling of flying under water) and Frenzel equalisation techniques, refine buddy system skills, and more. 

In the pool: focus on Static Apnea (STA) & Dynamic Apnea (DYN).

In open water / sea: Free Immersion (FIM) & Constant Weight (CWT). 

You will earn the SSI ADVANCED FREEDIVER (LEVEL 2) certification after completing this program.

Minimum Age: 15

Certification Prerequisites: Must be able to swim 100m and be certified SSI Freediving Level 1 (or equivalent).

Academic Sessions: Theory class 

Pool/Confined Water Sessions:  2 (or more depending on your progress swimming pool / shoreline). 

Open Water Dives:  2 (or more, depending on your progress)

Maximum Training Depth:  30 meters

Alongside your freediving experience, you can also become certified in First Aid & CPR and learn life saving techniques, for in or outside of the water.

The training sessions are planned as per SSI training standards, but each diver has its own learning curve. 

If additional sessions are needed (to reach the required level or fulfill the requirements), they will be at extra cost, depending on the needed training and location (pool, shore or open water).
